Baby Boomer: noun, A baby boomer is a person who was born during the demographic Post- World War II baby boom and who grew up during the 1960s and 1970s.
Doctorate; noun, the highest level of university degree, usually awarded for a lengthy piece of original research, but sometimes for other outstanding achievements
Resume; noun, A résumé is a document used by individuals to present their background and skillsets. Résumés can be used for a variety of reasons but most often to secure new job.
Tailor-made; adjective, perfectly suited to somebody or for a purpose
Incumbent; noun, somebody currently holding an official post, especially in a church or political organization. Incumbents are generally at an advantage in elections.
Stranglehold; noun, complete power: power over something or somebody that is complete and prevents any movement or change
Reconstruction; noun, the period of U.S. history from 1865 through 1877, during which the states that had seceded during the Civil War were reorganized under federal control and later restored to the Union
